  • This course takes place in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, at the beautiful Ubud Yoga Centre, which has a stunning outdoor cafe surrounded by lush green nature. Ubud is the heart of Bali, famous for boutique shops, street markets, delicious cuisine, heavenly spas, live music, temples and so much more. Bali is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world.



  • There are several resorts nearby for cheap and luxury accommodation, just 10min walk. Budhi Ayu Villas have spacious modern rooms, lush gardens, friendly staff and beautiful swimming pools, $30-40 a night. Shared room, two separate students share one room with two beds. Extra person, a couple will share one room and choose one or two beds. A bit more upscale and closer is Bali Spirit Hotel $40-100 a night. A cheaper option is Lagas Hostel, $5 a night. You can also just pay tuition and book your own accommodation.



  • Packages include a delicious smoothie bowl for breakfast. The full menu features a wonderful variety of healthy western and asian options. For lunch and dinner there are many amazing restaurants nearby such as Sage, Bohemian, Kafe, Bali Buddha, Zest and Sayuri, which all feature exquisite vegan and vegetarian cuisine.



  • Each day ULU Yoga would like to bring you somewhere special for lunch, dinner, site seeing or a special event. There are so many wonderful things to do such as the Monkey Forest, Dragonfly Sauna, Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ecstatic Dance, Kirtan, Sanur Beach and more. Entry fee and transportation not included. 



The training is 5 days, but 7 with arrival and departure, on which there are no classes. Plus there are 35 hours of in-house training and 15 hours of pre-course online studies.

Aerial Practice 

  • Begin each morning with a short meditation while floating in your swing, followed by a 90min aerial hatha/vinyasa flow class. The style mixes traditional yoga with strength training and therapeutics. The practice is suitable for beginners, but still fun with advanced options to test your limits.


Aerial Asanas

  • Receive detailed instruction of correct alignment and technique of individual aerial asanas. Learn about common mistakes and how to avoid them in order to practice and instruct others safely. Learn how to adjust students, modify poses for various levels, plus identify and serve special needs. 


Teaching Practice

  • Each day you will practice teaching other students and get feedback to gain experience and confidence. For your final exam you will design an original 75 minute class and teach it to one other student. Don’t worry if you have never taught before. Just do your best and have fun.


Aerial Restorative

  • Each day you will receive a 1 hour aerial restorative healing session to decompress the spine, relax the body, release tension and rejuvenate your soul. These classes mix aerial with meditation, physical therapy, yin yoga, sound healing, essential oils, mantras and other techniques. 


Aerial Acro

  • Mix aerial and acro using swings to suspend flyers while you and your partner safely find balance and alignment. The swing gives you support to easily master basic poses like bird, folding leaf and throne. You will also explore advanced poses and creative new variations. (1 class)


Aerial Choreography

  • Learn to synchronize aerial sequences in pairs then coordinate as a group to choreograph an artistic performance mixing aerial, acro and dance. Then use body paint and UV lights to create a blacklight show. It’s a lot of fun, but also challenging to work together in harmony. (1 class)


Bamboo Tripod

  • Learn to make a bamboo tripod and do aerial outdoors in nature. Hike down into the jungle and take pictures flying over the water. Receive instructions on how to organize groups, give event demonstrations, conduct short performances and boost your social media. (1 class)


Study Time

  • This course includes 15 hours of anatomy, methodology and philosophy videos. You can watch them in the evening as homework or before the course starts, which will help you prepare and give you more free time during the course.

  • ULU Yoga is a 500-hour registered school with Yoga Alliance (198078). After successfully completing this course you will receive a certificate of completion. Yoga Alliance members may register this course as Additional Training and receive a Certificate of Continuing Education. 


Aerial Swing

  • On this course you will train with the ULU Yoga Swing. The ULU Yoga Swing has soft cushion padding to provide greater comfort and support than regular aerial hammocks, which can burn and bruise the skin. ULU Yoga also has regular Aerial hammocks if you prefer to use those instead.


Level and Style

  • This course is open to all levels. Students are encouraged to take breaks and skip . ULU Yoga focuses more on correct alignment, safe practice, teaching skills and exploring the limits of what beginners can achieve with creative workshops. ULU Yoga does not teach very advanced poses or silk style tricks like wrapping, dropping and spinning. We even keep inversions to a minimum.

Edward Pawlak 

  • Edward (USA) started yoga in 2007. He has studied and taught all over the world and completed trainings in ashtanga vinyasa yoga, traditional thai massage, meditation and aerial yoga. In 2014 Edward founded ULU Yoga and began offering 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher trainings. Before yoga, Edward taught university education, worked in music theatre production, and volunteered at numerous permaculture farms and eco-retreat centres. Edward’s passion is to inspire others through creative exploration and empower students to change their lives to help others.


Minh-Tam Nguyen

  • Minty (USA) has been teaching with ULU Yoga for several years. She completed 200hr Vinyasa, 200hr Multi-style, and 100hr Aerial Yoga teacher trainings. Minty’s passion to share happiness and health led her down the path of healing. She further advanced her skills with certifications in Reiki II, craniosacral therapy, EFT therapy, tantric massage therapy and osteopathic yoga alignment. Minty teaches to inspire students to find their best selves, and to understand and build connections between the mind, body and spirit. 


What To Bring

  • ULU Yoga provides aerial yoga swings, mats and drinking water. You should bring a water bottle, notebook, raincoat, sunscreen, and bug spray. You should also buy a SIM card at the airport for internet. 


Payment & Registration

  • After you pay your deposit please fill out the registration form, complete your pre-course work and pay your balance as soon as possible. Your deposit is refundable until the course starts.



  • This course will follow CDC guidelines for social distancing, wearing masks and using hand sanitizer. You should also present a negative Covid test on arrival. If you become sick during the training a partial refund may be issued. Both trainers have already had Covid.



  • From Denpasar Airport DPS take a taxi to your accommodation in Ubud. The average cost is 350,000IDR ($25USD) and takes about 1 hour.
