            Location

            • Koh Phangan, Thailand is a magical paradise with over thirty amazing 30 beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters, pristine nature, exotic wildlife, lush green jungle, mountains and waterfalls. This course takes place at Bounty Resort in Haad Yao, located between three of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Phangan. The resort has lush green gardens, swimming pool, delicious restaurant, sea view yoga shala and private beach.

            Accommodation

            • Bounty Resort features Deluxe Rooms with fridge, tv and ocean front balcony. Fan Bungalows have great sea views. Fan Rooms and Standard AC Rooms have partial sea view balconies. Shared Rooms have two twin beds. All rooms have free wi-fi and private bathrooms. There is laundry, motorbike rental, ATM and nearby is 711 convenience store for all your personal needs.

                Food

                • Packages include a healthy vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast ranges from fruit smoothie bowls, muesli and yogurt, buckwheat pancakes and omelettes. Lunch and dinner are a combination of Thai, Indian and western food ranging from the traditional Thai curries, including mixed veg, tofu, lentil, chickpea and rice dishes with fresh green salads and tropical fruits. Some meals will feature lectures and discussion. No meals on days off. Deduct $6 for skipped meals.

                STRUCTURE

                • ULU Yoga strictly adheres to Yoga Alliance standards for techniques, analytics, philosophy, anatomy, methodology, practicum, contact hours and self-study.

                Yoga Practice

                • Each morning ULU Yoga will guide you through a deep meditation and pranayama followed by a traditional hatha or vinyasa yoga practice. Each class is a thoughtful journey integrating core asanas into dynamic flows with both calm focus and creativity. 

                Analytics

                • Analyze the form and function of key poses from each category of asana including standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists and inversions. Learn about their common foundation and how to build upon it in order to achieve advanced variations.

                Acro & Aerial Yoga

                • Acro yoga (4 classes) is a fun way to learn new balance and control while connecting with others. Aerial yoga (4 classes) is a perfect tool to support beginners find correct balance and alignment plus facilitate experienced practitioners achieve advanced asanas. ULU Yoga is famous for their unique style of aerial yoga and offers a 50 hour aerial yoga teacher training after the 200 hour course. 

                Beach Yoga & SUP

                • Some days you will visit the island’s beautiful beaches to practice yoga in nature plus enjoy some relaxing time off. You will have one SUP yoga class and can use the SUP boards to practice in your free time. You will love floating above the tropical waters in paradise.  

                Workshops

                • Special workshops include yoga for injuries, pregnancy and hands-on adjustments. Additional events may include ecstatic dance, kirtan, mountain sauna, sound healing and more. Admission and taxi to special events not included and subject to change. 

                Teaching & Professional Essentials

                • Practice teaching everyday to gain experience and develop confidence. Learn teaching skills, working with different ages and levels and tools to succeed professionally. Design and teach an original 75 minute class each week followed by detailed feedback and analysis.

                Anatomy (online 30 hours)

                • Gain a deeper understanding of the structures and principles underlying each movement and of yoga itself. See how specific muscles respond to the movements of the joints with biomechanics; how alterations of a pose can enhance or reduce effectiveness; and how the spine, breathing, and body position are all fundamentally linked. 

                Philosophy (online 30 hours)

                • Meaning of yoga, definitions of yoga, nature of self/soul, identification system, common terms of yoga, Bhagavad Gita essence, 4 paths of yoga, Patanjali 8 limbs, nadis, chakras, 4 states of consciousness, ayurveda intro, essential yoga terminology, purpose and karma theory, duality concept, 3 Gunas of nature, ego, history/evolution of yoga, tantra yoga.

                    200 vs 300-HR

                    • 200 hours is beginner friendly, you get a good overview of yoga subjects like asana, anatomy, philosophy and alignment. 300 hours is intermediate/advanced, you learn to guide deeper & more specific experiences for your students/clients using yoga practices of asana, pranayama & meditation.
                    • 200 hours you learn basic human anatomy, biomechanics of movement and subtle energetics to understand the body as a holistic system. 300 hours you study more the specific health benefits of various asanas and techniques to treat illness and injury, release trauma and depression, serve prenatal and seniors.
                    • 200 hours can be challenging both physically and mentally and require patience and determination to absorb a completely new way of thinking and living. 300 hours expects students to be in good form, receptive and attentive, and eager to take the leap towards deepening the layers of practice and developing higher level skills to provide a balanced guidance for others.

                    • Over the years ULU Yoga has grown into a big team so that each subject is taught by a trained specialist. Most instructors are 500 hour Registered Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance with many years experience leading teacher trainings. 

                    Shashi Mahler 

                    • Shashi (Germany) is lead ULU Aerial Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500hr Hatha-Yoga and 500hr Aerial Yoga. Shashi stepped on the path of Yoga more than 10 years ago with the passionate studies of western, yogic and buddhist philosophy. Her inexhaustible studies of metaphysical and energetical concepts, explaining the functions of the body and mind guided her to breathing and meditation techniques. Soon she came across the practice of physical yoga and found great emotional and mental relief in her daily practice. 
                    • Shashi finished university and went abroad to enjoy silent retreats in nature and monasteries and study with renowned yoga masters. Based on this she created an intuitive restorative Aerial Yoga Style. The heart lead but western minded course shares the great gift of restorative Aerial yoga.  Her aim is to show the compassionate way of self-healing through the opening and acceptance of the body. Her grounded and determined personality together with her lighthearted easy laughter invites each student to more curiosity and depth within. 

                    Brett Moran 

                    • Brett (U.K.) is a published author, entrepreneur and Yoga instructor who began his yoga and meditation journey 17 years ago in a dark and dingy prison cell. After his first wake up call, Brett taught himself to meditate and lived with monks in Thailand to transform his life around. He has completed a 300 hour YTT with Vikasa Yoga in Thailand and has numerous certifications and personal development. Brett is a qualified Rieki, EFT, and meditation practitioner.
                    • In the last several years Brett has been teaching and running yoga and meditation workshops at festivals around Europe. He also runs his life-changing retreats in Asia, UK and Ibiza. He shares numerous Yoga styles and practices hatha, yin, tantra, restorative and more. Brett is a vegan, intermittent intermittent faster, and loves to share philosophical concepts and spiritual metaphors in his classes. Most of all, Brett is passionate about helping students ignite their personal power so they can live fearless and free.

                    Janaina Mendes

                    • Janaina (Brazil)a has completed over 1000 hours of Yoga Teacher Training including multiple 200, 300 and 800 hour YTT’s. Other qualifications include Acro Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Thai Massage, Water Therapy and Reiki. She has been travelling around the world and sharing her knowledge of Yoga and body movement practices, either by teaching at studios, hostels, echo villages and healing centers or by volunteering for social projects to help bring the Yoga teachings to those in need. 
                    • Janaina’s teachings focus on correct and safe alignment while empowering students to look inwards and expand their perception. With her warm and giving nature, her intention is to create a space where students can develop a deep connection and understanding of themselves through a journey of love and compassion. As she considers every human being unique in their form of expression, her work is dedicated to encourage people to find their authenticity through their chosen practices. 
                    • Janaina’s calm, centred energy and teaching style facilitates a powerful depth to her classes. She is passionate about combining different bodily expressions and practices with the awareness and wisdom of Yoga, as she perceives the body as a vehicle for deep revelations and revolutions. She believes there is some form of Yoga for every person, and it is her goal to try and help students find it. Janaina’s passion for Yoga and body expression shines through in everything she does.

                    Cody Gavin Pizer 

                    • Cody (South Africa) RYT-500, lead ULU Yoga Trainer. Cody  has been Teaching Yoga Globally for several years, and instructing on multiple Yoga Teacher Trainings as a lead and Senior Instructor.  He has trained in India and Thailand on Multi-style Vinyasa, Yoga, Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin Teacher Trainings, and attended multiple movement, anatomy and mediation workshops throughout Asia.  He has certifications in aerial and SUP yoga. Additionally he has several years experience in Qi Gong, Primal Movement, Contemporary Dance, Calisthenic training and a black belt in Taekwondo. 
                    • Cody has taken the role of lead instructor on numerous Yoga Teacher Trainings for over several years. He specializes in Human Anatomy Related to Movement, Yoga, Buddhist and Classic Philosophy, Yoga Asana Analytics and Movement Clinics, Guided meditation and self meditation training, as well as Vinyasa, Aerial, Primal, Restorative and SUP Yoga. He is a long-time meditator, movement artist, vegan and intermittent faster plus has written books on mindfulness, meditation and Flow. 
                    • Cody has led multiple mindfulness retreats, mixed movement arts and flow workshops in Bali, India, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia plus taught at the famous Yoga Barn in Bali and Blue Indigo in Cambodia. Cody has an uninhibited spirit, which directs his life and inspires others to grow beyond themselves. He has a passion for movement and mindfulness which connects disciplines and translates into his holistic approach to classes. Cody feels that it is his life purpose to share his knowledge and inspire others through yoga, movement and philosophy. Guiding his students to discover more about the miracle and magic that is life.

                    Manjeet Mathur (online)

                    • Manjeet (India) started yoga and self awareness path in 2009. He completed his 200-Hr, 300-Hr, Yoga Therapy Module 1 & 2 MultiStyle Yoga TT with Parimukti yoga in India. He also has certifications in Meditation teacher training and Iyengar yoga. Manjeet has taught 3000+ hours in 50 plus yoga and meditation teacher trainings specialising in Hatha yoga, Meditations, Practical Yoga Philosophy, Chakras, Pranayama and more! He has a very Human approach to Yoga and believes in personalizing practices for everyone.  Emotional Awareness and making a light, playful space also are Manjeet's speciality.  
                    • His classes can range from discussions on our Shadows (related to parents, money, relationships, life experiences) to singing Mantra circles to Dance Therapy practices to blissed out Asana or Meditation sessions! Manjeet has led Chakra retreats, Dance Yoga trainings and Yoga Sharing circles & workshops in Bali & India. He has a Calming and Grounded presence which inspires others around him to come back to Simplicity and Ease of living.  
                    • His highest purpose is to keep creating Space and Peace in his daily life and invite others to also keep choosing their Higher Self, Intuition and Connectedness with all that exists. Manjeet’s passion for Yoga has led him to becoming the face of a Modern Mystic Yogi - grounded in self practice and also embracing life and the joys it offers. He loves to motivate others through Self reflection, structured and improvised yoga poses and embodying the qualities of eastern heart and western mind balance.

                    Kehkashan Nadeem (online)

                    • KK (Pakistan) has 20 years of yoga experience. KK’s first yoga training was more than 1,000 hours long over a 6 month period followed by 3 months of volunteer teaching in 2001. Since then she has practiced every single day despite a busy family life with two kids. KK has completed a 500-hour Advanced YTT in Nepal, Hot Yoga TT from Absolute Yoga Academy, Advance Teaching Skills at the Yoga Expert Academy, Aerial Yoga TT at ULU Yoga & Sky Yoga Level 2 TT in Bali. 
                    • After training with ULU Yoga KK became famous for bringing aerial yoga to Pakistan and is featured on the radio, TV and magazines. Since then she has led several yoga teacher trainings with ULU Yoga in Thailand and Bali. Since 2001 she has practiced every single day despite a busy family life with two kids. Each year KK attends more trainings to improve her skills in various styles. She thanks yoga for giving her such an amazing meaningful life and thanks her instructors and students for allowing her to share what she loves.
                    • KK’s passion for improving oneself through yoga is infectious. She is a master at taking you through the paces, drawing connections between poses, giving you the confidence to try tricky things & get into advanced poses eventually.
