LEVEL 1 & INTERMEDIATE
Level 1 is a standard YTT open to beginners and experienced practitioners. The intermediate dates, however are mixed with 300 hours students and only for experienced practitioners. To join you must have 2 years of consistent yoga practice and commit to completing the online studies before the onsite training, to ensure you are at an equal minimum level as other more advanced students.

Each morning begins with pranayama and meditation, followed by a guided yoga practice of hatha, vinyasa flow, or a simplified ashtanga yoga with options for beginner and advanced levels. Classes follow traditional popular formats, plus specialized themes such as backbends, inversions, restorative, tantric, chakra awakening, trauma release, etc...
Workshops Each evening features a 2 hour special workshop in yin yoga, acro yoga, aerial yoga, teaching practice, or teaching exam. Once during the training you will do yoga on the beach plus try SUP yoga (Stand Up Paddle Board). You will also receive traditional lectures on pranayama, meditation, teaching methodology, adjustments and more.
Asana Lab Each day you will examine core yoga asanas one by one in detail. You will learn about their common foundation and how to build upon it in order to achieve correct alignment and technique. Learn modifications to accommodate different levels, serve special needs, and achieve advanced poses. Explore classic sun salutations and creative vinyasa sequences.
Teaching skills ULU Yoga ensures you will complete this course as a confident instructor ready to go out and teach professionally. Each week you will design an original 75min class and teach it 1:1 with another student. This is followed by detailed feedback from your peers and instructors. You will also practice teaching every day during asana lab to gain more experience.
Anatomy Gain a deeper understanding of bodily systems, structures, and principles underlying each movement and of yoga itself. Lean about bones, muscles, fascia, joints and nervous system. Learn how to apply this knowledge to deepen your practice. Anatomy is mixed with daily asana labs. Onsite you will have some special lectures plus 20-30 hours of online studies.
Philosophy Discover your true self and the deeper nature of reality through the sacred wisdom of ancient yogic philosophy. Learn to apply these lessons in the real world to cultivate a holistic lifestyle. Topics yoga sutras by Patanjali, 8 limbs of yoga, chakras, gunas, doshas, ayurveda and more. Onsite you will have some lectures plus 20-30 hours of online studies.
Online Studies You will receive the complete 200 hour online course. You will do 100 hours onsite and therefore must do 100 hours online. You can follow the online course as it it designed or skip around and choose what content best suits your specific needs. You should try to complete these studies before the onsite course, but you can work on it after, and take up to two years to completely finish.
Please note that the onsite portion is limited time. You must study online for more detailed instruction on anatomy, philosophy, asanas and specialized content. If you miss some onsite hours you must do more online work as make up. Therefore ULU Yoga will wait until after the onsite training to evaluate your online work.
Beach There are so many wonderful beaches to explore just a few minutes walk! The resort has a small private beach. Next door is long and wide Haad Yao beach with nay great restaurants and fun activities. On the other side is Secret beach with shady trees and a relaxing vibe.
Sauna & Ice Bath This course includes 1 free entry to the mystical night sauna. Purge your body of toxins in the hot sauna then rejuvenate with an ice bath Boost your immune system, reduce inflammation and relieve stress.
LOCATION Koh Phangan, Thailand is a world famous magical bohemian paradise with no big crowds or traffic. This course takes place at a beautiful Bounty Resort in Haad Yao.
ACCOMMODATION Bounty Resort is an ocean view paradise surrounded by lush green nature, a private beach, two more beaches next door, delicious restaurant, ATM, and bike rental.
All rooms have air con, private bathroom, hot water, wifi, balcony, towels, toiletries, tea kettle, and small fridge. Deluxe sea view rooms have large balconies. Wooden garden view and wooden sea view bungalows have have comfy hammocks. Superior garden view and Superior sea view rooms are more modern. Shared rooms have garden view and two beds. Family rooms have two beds and sea view.
You can also just pay tuition and stay next door at Haad Son Resort or Hi Life Bungalows, which have more upscale accommodation.
DIET Packages with accommodation include a delicious healthy breakfast fresh tropical smoothie bowl, eggs and other favorites. For drinks you can choose juice, tea, or coffee plus there is free water all day. For lunch and dinner (average $6 per meal) you can eat at the resort or explore so many wonderful places in the village and on the beach. Some popular choices include: Loco’s Pizza, Pura Vida, Bubba’s Roastery, Big Mountain, Taboon, Sea Tara, Karma Cafe, Eat Co., Sati Pot, Alcove and Chana Masala.
CERTIFICATE ULU Yoga is a 200/300/500-hour registered school with Yoga Alliance ID 198078. After completing this course you will receive a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and become qualified to teach anywhere in the world. You can also register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT Registered Yoga Teacher.

In Thailand you will be guided by Cody Pizer (South Africa, E-500 RYT), who has over 3000 hours experience leading yoga teacher trainings. Cody is a dynamic free spirit who loves all styles of yoga and movement. He is an expert of vinyasa, meditation, philosophy and anatomy.
